ghostrider Posted January 18, 2013 Report Posted January 18, 2013 not in this weathercant beat a roaring hot log fire,glass of brandy etc,walking in the snow with my greyhounds.birds all contented,plenty of snap,no frozen water bowls.one thing tho my wild bird hoppers have not had a visitor for months,i filled then up with sneaky mix,same with the peanuts,binned them the other day. atb

Yes we usually have them all here but for some reason they have not put in an appearance for several weeks, We have a pheasant shoot a couple of miles away and I heard they were having problems with BOP so can only hope they have sorted it

sammy Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 Watched a program last night about how "Percy" is adapting to suburban life by using the lights of the city to hunt roosting birds at night,Ducks,snipe and anything brave enough to come to town in the evening saw that as well and a lot of wee birds are prey to it as well a good programme and it SHOT the rspb in the foot as unknown to them it has admitted to what is really happening to some of the wee birds
