eastcoaster Posted January 2, 2013 Report Posted January 2, 2013 Have just read the SHU rules and it says ALL ETS RINGS MUST BE BOUGHT FROM SHU.So does this mean we pay shu for registration rings and also have to get ets rings at a mark up to shu when you could do a deal with the company providing them cheaper.
Delboy Posted January 2, 2013 Report Posted January 2, 2013 How can the SHU tell if the ring is theres or not?

I wonder how many members actually abide by this rulehttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0138-thinking.gif ans as said b4, how can the SHU monitor such a rule?
kirky Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 what would happen if an shu national winner with ets ring, when shu check there records and find that the owner has never bought any ets rings from them ?
PIGEON_MAN Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 How can the SHU tell if the ring is theres or not? Every ETS ring as a code in it so no problems to find out to who or where they sell them.
sapper756 Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 Every ETS ring as a code in it so no problems to find out to who or where they sell them. I have bought my rings from the SHU via our club secretary and have" never" been given a list of serial numbers relating to the rings I boughthttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0138-thinking.gif so if fanciers pass rings to each other, how do we know where they have come from? witnessed many ets rings being sold at clearance sales, no mention of where they have come fromhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0138-thinking.gif If this rule is to be adhered to, then I think a lot more work needs to be put into place, ie records kept of serial numbers, members registered against ring serial numbers, but some how I can not see this happening. I get my rings through my secretary who gets them from the SHU, what would happen if an shu national winner with ets ring, when shu check there records and find that the owner has never bought any ets rings from them ? that would be very interesting, but then again, the SHU insist we wing stamp our youngsters, yet the SNFC do not allow wing stamps on young birds entering their raceshttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0138-thinking.gif
KMCK Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 I got My ets rings from my fed sec and surely if this was the case that this rule is not inforced as mijority of member from our fed who have ets will use him

JADE Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 Dont think it can be enforced but I think most will buy from SHU because it is easier. You can buy unikon rings at Blackpool but unless you buy a certain amount they are cheaper from shu
abbeypap Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 All ets rings are programmed with a unique code.
airdrie2 Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 when was the rule put in the rule book ?what price is shu ets rings ?
