Snfc Region Changes

It has still not been decided if the SNFC are taking the one loft race, seems like the organisers are assuming they can just come along and jump on the bandwagon, well mibe no happen, Henrik here for the underdog, who just happens to be a member of the SNFC as well.

Well I spoke to Billy Holland at Blackpool and all he said if the national allow us to race. Seems like you have made an assumption. You should talk to him he is decent bloke.

Just a thought - the other 'one loft' was in the central belt, where most lofts are situated. The new one is in the same area that most on here seem to have an issue with. Would there now be say 800 more birds going into that area, and what affect will that have on the race? Tough call I think.

Don't believe it will be hard to get a few extra volunteers to help the marking of the 500+ pigeons of the one loft race. There is no birdage limit within the SNFC rules so therefore the one loft pigeons cannot be refused.

The SHU one loft race gave you the option to send your bird to the National AFTER they had had the final race, If these bird have an easy season there could be as many a 1500 birds,which poses a logistical problem getting them marked as it took up all the time we had to mark 800 last year so what are we to do stand for 2 days marking birds, maybe we should get Billy Holland to bring his birds to the big station at the Garden Centre and get them marked there, that would solve the problem that is going to arise here and move it into the lap of the people who are spouting off about it.

i was present yesterday and the problems were coming from the stage they seemed to have no idea how to conduct it even the agenda was jumping from one thing to another i could not say that john quinn was disruptive at all he asked pertinent questions when he felt the need the only time i saw him angry was when the president told him he was naive and by the way i dont even know the man

I may be missing something here but I always thought the principle of a one loft race was that in the FINAL race where the big money was won the birds in the one loft race were liberated on their own from whatever racepoint and not mixed in with hundreds of other pigeons. I have seen instances where the birds which are left after the final then go to a classic or national race.

to put you all in the right frame of mind here billy bilsland will take at least 6 tickets per race from the nat men and to add the other 6 3 years later after the one loft race is over the use of that dooket will be for nat flying, from bills pal in mr holland who in turn if he gets his house built there, or race from a caravan will nail the national as i have said before these guys have 2 eyed jacks i was just making sure you

its a hotspot race and not the final , so i dont see a problem convoying more bird with the snfc as its more money .I take it with being a hotspot race the birds wont be competing in yb nat just being convoyed same as with the final race with unc just convoyed .

You must be joking! If they are liberated with the snfc doos they will want them in the race. But I dont suppose the west guys will mind hundreds more doos dragging theirs up the east because they are already trained to turn left at the roundabout at Dunbar

we race from dunbar 67 miles and then down the east coast so a dog leg is to be exspected. I would have thought if the loft was competing it would have been brought up at the agm , but if only being convoyed it wouldnt have been brought up.

 

All other one lofts normaly have there final race the week before the respective yb nat and the birds owners can then say wheather or not they want them put into the yb nat or stay to be auctioned off .

If you were topping Lanarkshire regular and topping sec E also , you may have a chance winning the nat if u moved down there, but its not that easy 1 race doesnt count for a season, think you are in cloud cookoo land if you think its that easy.

Naw i voted to go down the West like last year,but that has no bearing on the yb/n the drag up the East is there for all to see when there is 16 birds timmed in section G last year before a bird is timmed in section E.Old bird racing from 500 miles different ball game happy to go East with them.
