Guest darren cantrill Posted November 10, 2012 Report Posted November 10, 2012 hi every one just a quick up date we managed to win 3* 1st club, 3* 2nd club 3*4th club and a 5th club.we had 3*1st section 1*2nd section 1*5th section we were 1st fed 1223 birds 5th fed 1223 birds 7th fed 600+birds 18th fed 900+ birds and 19th fed 700+ birds we raced to a 7foot by 5 foot garden shed that had pond liner as roof felt and an old book shelf as perches been trying to down load images will get there we had 17 birds to start the young bird season finished with 12 borrowed a clock from the club secretary and had the most amazing time have now gone and bought a clock cause the secretary threatened to glue the thimbles together lol and we only timed 2 birds per race could of had 5 on the fed if we carried on clocking when we topped the fed im putting this up for people to read as it reminds people that our sport doesnt have to be expensive good healthy pigeons well schooled fed right can hold there own with anyone cant wait till next year and the start of the old bird season we live in the middle of the fed were told we would never top the fed from were we fly from!!!!

Guest old dog new tricks Posted November 11, 2012 Report Posted November 11, 2012 thanks lads loved every minute of it kept it real simple have now invested in some new stock and some 2nd hand lofts ready for next year havent gone mad the pens are clean tidy and dry and the new birds some van loon based birds and some out and out sprinters the karel boeckx hopefully base the club birds round these and this years winners and try and put a national and classic team together with the van loon based birds will be a little more patient with these but the sprinters will have to do the buisiness straight away
