The first time i went, about 6 year ago i was amazed by the size of the place, imo go early on saturday and have a good look about, have in your mind what you want to buy, then go back at the end get your list, because if you leave it till the sunday everything that you looked at and wanted is gone, you,ll enjoy it m8, i wouldnt miss it, plus all the sales in the differant hotels really is an eye opener, :animatedpigeons:

In my opinion Sunday is the best day in the show every thing at a fraction. Had a great bargain on the Duif Chronicles two years back, on the Saturday both volumes £30 each, on the Sunday £30 for the pair. Was two of the best reads ever. Everything books, materials and products as well as birds are a fraction of the prices they were on the Saturday. I've also bought some good birds from Blackpool, but very rarely buy from a stand.

this year will be my 6 th year in a row at blackpool.i show fancy pigeons up in the spanish hall of the winter gardens.there are lots of stalls where you can buy just about anything needed for your pigeons and thats what i do every year.i spend a lot of money on probiotics, drinkers, feeders, orego stim, clorcarb and tonics that will see me through to the next year.if you buy your stuff late in the sunday afternoon and buy 3 or 4 of each thing they will knock a couple of pounds off as they dont want to leave with all the stuff.you can buy lots of dvd's on racing pigeons and there are other non pigeon related stalls.stay away from the dodgy perfume/aftershave stalls its not the real stuff as i knew but it was more awful that i thought.

always plenty to see and last year there was quite a few young birds for sale.

dont get carried away at the auctions at the local pubs-some people seem to have deep pockets.

This was one of my concerns Blackpool being a bit seedy, Coming from sutherland (North of Inverness)

Not sure weather to book somewhere to stay at the moment or wait to see what the weather's doing nearer the time (Snow)

Not sure if you have visited it in the last couple of years but they have spent millions on it,to me it as vastly improved to what it was.
