Guest Gareth Rankin Posted August 5, 2012 Report Posted August 5, 2012 no race today the birds are on there way back.what a waste of time and money.Has to be a lesson learned today for the Midlothian fanciers, a race should only be delayed if it is a total washout forecast for the following day. Being picky of what day is to be the best, doesn't work.

ALF Posted August 5, 2012 Report Posted August 5, 2012 Peter as you say you have made 1 mistake but i have always been of the opinion that the doos have to be at the racepoint as the weather is that unpredictable now get them down there and then if need be cancel the race after it mate... Only my opinion mind Alan
hotrod Posted August 5, 2012 Report Posted August 5, 2012 I spoke to Peter sat morn and he was a bit miffed at calling off race as the forecast he got and what came about was different , what is it they say about hindsight ? He was only thinking of the birds end of

He was only thinking of the birds end ofCorrect 100%. Peter made the call and fair play to him the first few comments were that it was an amazing piece of controlling and now he is shot doon!!!

Only my opinion mind Alan My post was never meant as criticism of Peter but i have always thought that unless there is absolutely no chance of a race the doos go to the race point on a friday AND THEN THE RACE CONTROLLER DOES HIS JOB Shoot me down for my thought's if you like Alan
