BBC Forecast today had said it was sunshine & showers going into the weekend. But training YBs tonight, some right cheery news broadcast on the M8 / City Bypass Gantries - 'Heavy Rain forecast for Saturday'.

its was absolutly lashing doon when our birds were on way last week and they came battering in , in batches seemed like they were enjoying it , all the we buggers were on the loft roof way the wings up havin a shower last week

I intended to send as many as possible but after looking at that with thunderstorms forecast in moffat area along with east or south east wind which usually means the leaders doing 60 mph and the rest in the mull of kintyre ,common sense may now kick .

look at the colour code on the bottom too , millimeters of rain , not enough too wet your whistle.

Met office showing heavy rain in cumbria early on and also around lunchtime ,we have midland and lanarkshire sitting above us and depending on libs could be a tight call regarding window of weather ,lanarkshire went after us last week and i then never saw a doo for 3 hrs have had fifteen strays in this week yet none of my 25 since sunday something no right there me thinks atb whatever .

Never worried about the weather just fed differently according to the weather teaches them to fend for themselves if its a hold over jmo

checked the forecast again , now looks very diffrent . despite all this technology it appears it,s still down to geuss-work and a chance at luck .

Looks like every time you check it's different,now rain for Kelso but looking better for us lads at Leyland.Wind starting to get up here,that'll bring rain in.

i understand what your saying Peter,but with the weather the way it is and all the other obstacles they have to avoid , if we erred on the side of CAUTION , they probably wouldnt get in the race basket. a big element is the !LUCK" in my opinion .

lanarkshire looks good for a lib between 11-30 - 1pm any later than one is a no no as it is expected to be heavy rain for the west of scotland but things could change as the weather could come in earlier from the west but at present its not due till 4 pm sat with thunder.
