Guest IB Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 Think this is just another of the many theories that pigeon folks hold that just cannot be proved as nobody knows for sure what happens to the convoy after it leaves the liberation site. It reminds me of the one that I was told in the 60s that rain grounds the leading birds that always choose to fly through it, but the 'also-rans' choose to fly round it - and arrive home first.
blackdog Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 the leading birds into cumbria have been hit 15 miles from home many times over the last few years, fanciers have witnessed them scatter then the second batch go through ok,ever heard the saying(they should have been here by now) :emoticon-0127-lipssealed:

Scottish Feds at the same race point liberate at 15 minute intervals. Can the leading batch of a following liberation not overtake the back-markers of the one that went 15 minutes earlier?
