ALF Posted April 13, 2012 Report Posted April 13, 2012 THERE HAS BEEN A SHORTAGE OF COLOMBOVAC AROUND THIS TIME EVERY YEAR FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS I MADE SURE THAT WAS THE 1ST THING I BOUGHT AT BLACKPOOL AS I LIKE TO VACCINATE ALL MY YB'S AS THEY ARE COMING OUT THE NEST..
Guest Tooshy Boy Posted April 13, 2012 Report Posted April 13, 2012 WELLDONE MATE THIS IS HAPPENING YO OFTEN
Guest IB Posted April 13, 2012 Report Posted April 13, 2012 There's nothing on the VMD, or the SHU websites on this. I think it unusual as ALF says, Colombovac supply has been a problem now for several years, and folks have just switched to Nobilis if need be. My guess is that it is a special dispensation for Wales given racing is suspended there just now due to an outbreak of something? brought in from the continent. Just a guess tho.
Guest IB Posted April 13, 2012 Report Posted April 13, 2012 Guessed wrong. Just picked up this in BHW April 12th issue, page 10 'View from Reddings' 1st para : Ladies & gents a series of short updates ... 1. Vaccinate your pigeons. Alternative vaccines are now available to overcome the recent shortages. Apologies to / well done the Welsh Homing Union for getting that information on their website in a meaningful and very informative way.
PIGEON_MAN Posted April 13, 2012 Author Report Posted April 13, 2012 Was it only me or did others miss read it,it says a water soluble vaccine,I thought it meant you could put it in the water but apparently not,it is infact a water based vaccine the same as Colombovac.
