sapper756 Posted February 3, 2012 Report Posted February 3, 2012 Does the Blackpool show still make an annual donation to the Rspb? if so, then the RPRA members, should "INSTRUCT" them to cease this practice with immediate effecthttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/angry.gif
Walter swanston Posted February 3, 2012 Report Posted February 3, 2012 I have read these posts with some puzzlement. In Scotland a properly made out search warrant signed by a Justice of the Peace or a Sheriff indicating the alleged crime and the property sought is required and can only be enforced by Police Officers. However I am not sure of the powers of DEFRA officials but I am reasonably sure the RSPB minions have no legal right to enforce a search warrant. It would seem to me based on the information so far that some person has made a complaint about the medication brought in from France.

just ask me Posted February 3, 2012 Report Posted February 3, 2012 so the battle has begun! please be careful the battle begun a long time a go i believe its just now they have come out with all guns blazing
geordie1234 Posted February 3, 2012 Author Report Posted February 3, 2012 This is bad I like how it states they have started swooping on fanciers, we are not the only ones that supposedly persecute percies! They are running our name thru the dirt once again
OLDYELLOW Posted February 3, 2012 Report Posted February 3, 2012 Quite simple really if you test your birds get your prescriptions via a vet and don't import them then you will have a receipt for all medications , if anything we should return to very little medication as these bops are flourishing because our birds are nearly 100% medically free from all ailments that would challenge BOPS , So actually could be a blessing in disguise and besides , I'm sure the R.S.P.B will have costs to cover for wrongful finger pointing when products come back as legitimate and any tablets / medications removed wrongly then they would have to reimburse this cost also , I certainly wouldn't want out of date products back , and you could argue they've been tampered with
Pompey Mick Posted February 3, 2012 Report Posted February 3, 2012 Another Post from Bilco on Pigeonchat: Re: rspb raidingby bilco » Fri Feb 03, 2012 10:15 am Hi Lads. one of the moles (whatever title he visits under I don't know) is Duncan McNiven, (from the Bedford area JT), nice bloke, and he was very up to date. He knew of the case 20 years ago when the RSPB did a similar thing to me because someone had sent me a sparrowhawk's leg in the post and I happened to mention it in a radio broadcast. (I was cautioned for being "in possession" of part of a bird of prey at that time). He also asked if my YB team were my "Latebreds" - and what layman knows what a "latebred" is eh? The girls (Jo Daniels & Alison Sparkes (both RSPCA) and Claire Dowding (Natural England) were looking for pesticides, the Law was there to see they weren't assaulted and did little or no searching, leaving it all to the girls. EVERYTHING was searched. The Gestapo trains its troops well. Our liberties have been destroyed, they confiscated all guns, swords, Knives etc so no-one could rebel, now they raid us at our homes and take away our pastimes. ANY Irish (Republican or Loyalist) or Muslim friends who can join in our resistance please do so, don't contact me though, I am now watched, phone tapped, the lot.Just do it, shut up and keep smiling. Roland Posted February 3, 2012 Report Posted February 3, 2012 Yes they still need Magistrates / Search Warrents. like a dawn raid on a property for any other rweason / Drugs, etc. etc. You are also entitled to have a Solictor, or legal representative present before they can carry out any search if YOU so desire. Never mind any spouting that they may make. Otherwise if asked and refuse / no warrent etc. then the search is illegal and any half decent lawyer will have it chucked out of any court pronto.

preston powerblast Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 It would be interesting to hear the RPRA Comment on this and see if they are wlling to jump off the fence and stop giving our money to them, if that's how they are going to to treat us. It would after all be a little ironic, the RSPB using our own money against us.
