sapper756 Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Are there any members doing winter training? If so, when do you plan to begin? What are you training, is it late breds? Finally, what are the views of members on winter training? Thankshttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/egyptian.gif

johnnyksspeedshop Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 Not training yet but the birds sure do love to loft fly and route in this cold weather.
JohnQuinn Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 Never tossed a Doo during the winter in my life and don't ever intend to. I can see why the guys in the East who have the Christmas race do it but for the life of me i canny imagine why anyone would toss them otherwise, imo you'll no teach them anything they won't learn ranging from the loft.

andy Posted December 14, 2011 Report Posted December 14, 2011 A lot of the birds timed in previous years have went on and won high national positions in the same season, however the skill of the fanciers depends how soon in the season they're raced again.

Why the year out for them for them Andy??2011 What happened to the best SNFC loft this century?? in your opinion When you set a standard as they have, it's very hard to continue year in year out at the standard everyone expects of them, but I'm sure they'll be back this coming season.
