Our club was informed that the vote will only be East or West , no race programm proposals were asked for.

Should be quick meeting.

Don't know who told you this Charlie but its wrong, the race program will be decided on Saturday regardless of route

True, though George Mann's Marlbourogh winner was down the west route the week before from Worcester. ;)

Correct :)

Am obviously not in Lanarkshire fed but flying down the East the last two Seasons I don't think theres been a channel race where they haven't finsished in the top 20 SNFC.

Section E won 2 SNFC races this season though both from Westerly racepoints

Anyway its none ae ma business like I said am no in Lanarkshire.Enjoy yer meeting and hope yous get good racing from whatever route is chosen :)

Hi Frank

Nova 10 never says a lot about the Midlands returns

but the midlands y/bs this year had 1 race beyond

Appleby there open race from Charnock Richards

the birdage was 323 birds that wasn't a club

it was the whole fed

So where did all the birds go from there

fantastic racing down the west

Cheers

well i have still to see a midland member post on here what there returns were like

Maybe they don't have the internet over in their neck of the woods.lol

Did speak to a couple of guys at the marking for the young bird national and one of them told me that he had 26 left from 32 whislt racing down the west with the Midland.

Midland are a small fed, they started of with roughly 1600 birds at the first race, but truth be told Lanarkshire didn't fair too well either when you consider that they had over 7000 birds at one race but at the longest race marking they only got just over 2000 birds?

i dont often post on here but i feel i must say something.big gareth and king billy were asked by delboy to go with the midland fed down the west with their ybs.i doubt they went because they wouldnt be getting the coverage of birds the lanarkshire fed convoy would give them.you know you would get hammered with midland. why do you want to go west when the racing and returns have been good down the east its just to try and get an even bigger advantage than you already have, think about others and the pigeons for a change. i dont remember any disasters this year except messac which im delighted to have got one.so wheres all the losses you talk about king billy.time to look in mirrors to get your red club cards yous are desperate for

Posted

you say there were no losses down the east side I will give you some examples pentland fed thirsk yb lots of birds missing lanarkshire hexam yb poor returns s/lanarkshire ridsdale more than half the convoy missing glasgow otterburn poor returns also I think witton castle was also a bad race for them ayrshire/ballochmile also took hammerings on the east side so dont say there werent losses on the east side I think some feds have had there worst seasons ever down the east side and it just keep going on something has to change and I think it has to be the route

Posted

Ayrshire Federation Morpeth a mere 120 miles a disaster with approximately 50% losses.

The problem racing from the east happens when all the federations are in the same area liberating in one small window.

There are 7 days in a week we need to think about staggering our races over that week or even alternate days for North and South roaders.
