DJWa Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 This was the best y/bird national race for birds clocked we have had for years. Some fanciers might have only had 40% returns but quite a few had more than 90% returns.3/3,7/8 ect, I had 5/5.There were so many birds timed that when I was doing the result for the lads at the clock station I had todisguard any Aberdeen birds timed after 13.30.I have attached the resut done in Aberdeen,THis is not the full result as some clocks were done at the Banff clock station and are not encluded. im on about overall returns williejohnny told me about 71 birds recorded in aberdeen station including the ones after 13.30is this figure correct ?that with 3 recorded at bamff is 74 from 179 senta lot of the more northern guys havent seen a bird yet

Guest KING BILLY Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 i think wot youl find is that all race control teams are thare for the welfare of the doos but if you have been getting dodgy disistions by part of the team in your fed all year you start to get disillusioned and it starts to have a nock on afect every one is intiteld of thare opinion wether wee think wee are right or wrong its an open form and lets face it nobudy likes a holdover wee all can be arm chair race controlers and say what the f are the doos not up for the sun is spliting the trees her and that feds up or the micky mouse nationals up y arent wee but if the joe publick are keped in the loop why thay have made this disition it makes it a lot better so all the best to the winers and losers EYN

Henrik Posted September 12, 2011 Author Report Posted September 12, 2011 Could be a first here lads, with a ballot to decide the race control team, so many people willing to put themselves in the running. What a dilemma to have, but would bet we wont have so many when the chips are down.
highwings Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 3out4 not bad for my first national

Rooster J. Cogburn Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 Could be a first here lads, with a ballot to decide the race control team, so many people willing to put themselves in the running. What a dilemma to have, but would bet we wont have so many when the chips are down. If the people doing the shouting on here spent as much time looking at the weather, phoning down the line of flight, talking to other controllers on a raceday etc as they spend slandering and criticising the current race controllers in their feds and the national then I'm sure they'd do a sterling job.... Thankless job and I doubt very much any race controller would make a decision he did not think was best for the birds welfare. The best footballers are ALWAYS in the stands
