Tony C Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 Put a couple of glugs of ordinary malt vinegar in their bathwater, after a few baths you'll not see any lice on them at all and dare I say it ............. it works out as cheap as chips.

geordie1234 Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 My doos had lice i got that cloracarb and they were gone straight away like paul daniels made them vanish
JohnQuinn Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 It was recommended to me by none other than the late Andrew Deans.I remember coaxing my Da to try it out as the Duramitex can leave oily stained feathers after dipping them. Now ma Da wisnae exactly easily parted with his cash and the Chlorcarb was significantly more money than his usual choice. Anyway as we were dipping them and letting them fly to the perch, they didnae look as if they had been touched never mind dipped, the Dire Warning came that it had better work after him spending his money on it. Needless to say that within a couple of hours the feather lice looked frazzled and just fell off

JohnQuinn Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 Thanks, will it be ok to dip them when racing? You can do them any time Steven, an hour later you would't know they were dipped in anything.
Guest IB Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 What ammount of chlorcarb do you mix with a bucket of water,to dip the birds in? It's half a sachet to 5 litres of water for the dip. You get that info from the website, its not on the label. The website also says they've stopped producing it. http://www.aviform.co.uk/Store/Racing-Pigeon-Products/Health-$4-Condition/CHLORCARB-Red-Mite
