Guest Tooshy Boy Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 I have been in contact with David Jones , a fancier in north Wales and he says there are loads of Scottish pigeons down there. In fact , he has 5 or 6 himself in his aviary. He didnt catch the pigeons to get the ring numbers for me but spotted one of them in aviary and it was SU07L17095 CH WF. I asked him if he could circulate an email around all the club secretaries so we can arrange a collection for all these birds. He will get back to me tomorrow regarding this. My plan is to get these ( hopefully Messac birds ) collected in the next week and then we can get them home. The cost will be split between everyone, equally. Cheers, Derek HaySU.07.L.17095. Delboy Posted July 8, 2011 Author Report Posted July 8, 2011 Fed going tomorrow night Hi Gail, Have you got pigeons to liberate in Scotland. If so, could you lib them in the central belt( between Glasgow and Edinburgh) to give them a chance to get home. Thanks, Derek
Gail J Posted July 9, 2011 Report Posted July 9, 2011 The owner of the bird asked me to liberate just after Carlilse, I spoke to Mr Jones and he is arranging something in the north to sort the Su birds out, some of the areas were 60 miles from him and too far to catch the transporter, but he is onto it for you
Delboy Posted July 9, 2011 Author Report Posted July 9, 2011 Thanks Gail, if possible, if you know of any SU pigeons in your area could you collect them and ill arrange them to be uplifted. Cheers, Derek Hay

Guest TAMMY_1 Posted July 13, 2011 Report Posted July 13, 2011 Alan, The pigeons are getting sent up to here.I will let you know when this will happen as we are waiting to collect as many as possible. No way should anyone contact Mr Jones, he has enough to think about. Tell Vince he has to be patient and he will get his bird back. Well done Derek in trying to get the birds up home ,this is when fanciers all over have to pull together when birds are scattered all over the place

Frank123 actually offered to go down and get them for us, but that would have cost too much.It shows the strength of him , a decent fella.
