took the hens away when young birds where 16 days old 23 3 11 let the cocks fins them of just notest today some of my yearlings have flung thare first flight am pouting it down to the mild wether and high proten feed dosent sems to have hapend with the hens and i have not used any lights in the loft this hapend 4 years ago to and i was runners up in the fed averges but am not happy with them going to early globle warming :angry::angry:

Mine have been split a couple of weeks now,noticed this morning one flight in cocks loft and two in hens shed,will check them out when basketing for training.

Out of curiosity when were the mentioned yearlings hatched last year??

middle of march last year and then on the darknes so realy only been throw the moult for 3 month tops and then starting again they must be fit and helthy or they would not be throwing again these are the yearlings am hopeing to get out of eastbourne at the 18th of june but think i will have to make other planes if they dont slow down in the moult

funny that i just asked my brother for advice tonight for the exact same thing my yearlings reared i yb each been split for three weeks and 5 of the cocks have cast thier 1st flight and his answer was the same too much protien in the feed ! but still a bit worrying for the inland nats .

you have to give them the best when thare feding young birds my doos have only been split for a week but a couble of good tosses will slow them down going to start this weekend thare has been to much heat for this time of the year even the swallos are her a month earlear than normal thars a lot of pep dont beleve in the wing theary so time will tell

I've got yearlings still growing their last flight - they haven't brought any youngsters up - are you sure they got through the moult?

DEFNATELY THROUGH THE MOULT I ONLY HAVE 2 THAT HAVE HELD THARE END FLIGHTS
