sapper756 Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 Quite good, all stock pairs youngsters are now weaned, and the widowhood team are all now feeding a 2 week old single youngster, so just waiting on the naturals, which I only put together last week, to start layinghttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0137-clapping.gifhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0137-clapping.gifhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0137-clapping.gif the stock pairs are now laying their second round of eggshttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0137-clapping.gifhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0137-clapping.gifhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0137-clapping.gif

Guest youngboy Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 could be better but could b alot worse so going ok 3 were killed 1 unfertile pair of eggs AND PAIR LEFT on set of eggs
Guest IB Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 I put mine up on Feb 18th. They started laying 'on time' from 27th Feb but its been a real slow affair from then with new eggs laid on every day till 6th March, (10 days - 17 days) then a gap till the last pair laid on 9th March. Can't say why, weather wisnae any worse than last year when most were down in 8 - 10 days.
gulkie Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 best start iv had for a few years paired 14 feb 31 pair down, somelaid within 10 days rest over the next 3 days 1 clear egg 1 bashed egg.6 pair yearlings still not laid.do me .
JohnQuinn Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 My team laid out between the 23rd and 28th of Feb and i canny see much wrong, however i nutted a stock ck tonight after he broke a 3rd set of eggs this season alone!!! EFFIN SWINE that it was done a couple last year too but no more.

EFFIN SWINE that it was done a couple last year too but no more.was it his oan eggs john or another pairs because ive got a cock and he has broke his 2 oan eggs
JohnQuinn Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 His own and 2 other nests up to the day, had been a bully in the loft from the day it arrived and broke eggs last year too. Took it into his head he wanted a box he just fought 'til he won. He was by far the Biggest doo in my loft so had the size advantage over every other doo in my lofts.
Guest spin cycle Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 not so bad for me but not as good as i hoped as i wanted to be more advanced. weaned 3....2 not far off....5 hatched this week (hope they'll be BWF's HTH kit)4 pairs on eggs and 2 just rung

THE FIFER Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 going good got 6 pair hatched from stock birds , all looking good
Guest Owen Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 I had a terrible start because I moved the Stock Birds to a new loft and they fought smashing eggs and injuring each other. Since then I have the breeding back on track. I will ring the latest youngsters this weekend which will take me over the 50.I ordered 70 rings and I will fill them all very shortly. The first youngsters will be parted off with their mothers this weekend which will be nice. It will be training next week, I hope.
Guest youngboy Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 rung another 6 today and another 2 hatched so 19 in total rung
