walterbmasson Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 OSLO STUART IF YOUR BIRDS DONT MAKE IT ON THE DAY IN THE SUMMER MONTHS IN MY OPINION BETTER WITHOUT THEM REMEMBER STUART YOUR NOT SENDING BIRDS that are sprinters long distance birds know there capabilities
VMS Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 The Saintes race with the NFC is open to all fanciers in Scotland/England distance 710 miles to Lanarkshire.
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 OSLO STUART IF YOUR BIRDS DONT MAKE IT ON THE DAY IN THE SUMMER MONTHS IN MY OPINION BETTER WITHOUT THEM REMEMBER STUART YOUR NOT SENDING BIRDS that are sprinters long distance birds know there capabilities 479 to Fraserburgh, 614 to Larkhall, sounds good to me get yourself a seconder and i will send some doos to Oslo.
dal2 Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 479 to Fraserburgh, 614 to Larkhall, sounds good to me get yourself a seconder and i will send some doos to Oslo. So the poor turnout for the longest race would be rectified?
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 So the poor turnout for the longest race would be rectified? Probably not Steven, did notice that Ecclefechan only gets 6 miles overfly over Larkhall from Oslo
dal2 Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 Probably not Steven, did notice that Ecclefechan only gets 6 miles overfly over Larkhall from Oslo Bugger!! Too much water for me I think. Would the prevailing wind be a prob? How would the convoy fair on that trip across?
hotrod Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 OSLO STUART IF YOUR BIRDS DONT MAKE IT ON THE DAY IN THE SUMMER MONTHS IN MY OPINION BETTER WITHOUT THEM REMEMBER STUART YOUR NOT SENDING BIRDS that are sprinters long distance birds know there capabilitiesyes walter but have u ever noticed that a lot of very good pigeons and this includes national winners make a hash of it sometimes oh and the fanciers too ,so like my good hen karens girl first time accross the water took 8 days ,she would probably have drowned if that race was from oslo ,and i bet theres a lot more champions out there that have done the same first time accross.so imo i would defo say naw thanx for oslo.
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 Bugger!! Too much water for me I think. Would the prevailing wind be a prob? How would the convoy fair on that trip across?Yes 300+ miles of water is a little too much especially if conditions are not 100%, love to give a go though.

Guest Gareth Rankin Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 This is when I met GarethO! Pick on someone your own size. Lol,
