Rspb Donation.

What do the members here think to the fact that and advert published in the BHW (the journal of the RPRA)and paid for by a pigeon fancier, is selling anti cat deterants and stating that a % of all units sold will be donated to the RSPB.........it also goes on to use how the RSPB endorse the use of this deterant as a selling piont.

 

I for one thing this is taking the p**s.

I do not know about the rest of you but I will be on the phone to the RPRA on Monday for clarification. I think it could be the same old story, they think they have the authority to do as they please. Perhaps we, the rank and file, should introduce them to the fact that they work for us and are paid by us.

thats authority for you short memories and to be honest i do know why this is being disscused as you are on letting them see that you are annoyed by it and they will do it all the more

Hard to tell, but it looks like complaint here is aimed at BHW & RPRA, not RSPB.

 

Anytime I've been accosted by RSPB for a donation, I've used the occasion to tell them why they're not getting one from me, because they rank BoP above and before all others.

The advert has been in the BHW for years with the same offer of a donation to the RSPB - Its the only reason i never bought a couple of them.

I WAS IN B&Q A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO AT HERMISTON GATE EDINBURGH AND THERE WAS A GUY GIVING OUT LEAFLETS AT A TABLE REPRESENTING THE RSPB AND ASKING FOR DONATIONS AND WHEN I SEEN HIM I JUST MADE A BEE LINE FOR HIM AND ALL I HEARD FROM THE WIFE WAS OH NO HERE WE GO AGAIN AND SHE WALKED AWAY PAST HIM WITHOUT WAITING FOR ME AS SHE KNEW WHAT WAS IN STORE THEN AFTER BEING FRIENDLY FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES AND LEADING HIM UP THE GARDEN PATH I JUST LET RIP AND BY GOD WAS HE SWEATING BEFORE I LEFT HIM AND THE RSPB WITHOUT A NAME THEN SHE MOANS CAUSE OF WHAT I DID AND DID I BOTHER ???? NAW

What about this one then, has anyone heard of this....?

 

A local man who i have known for many years and who i have had many a heated discussion with regarding the rspb, recently told me that in his monthly newsletter from the rspb it informs all members/supporters that if they change their gas/electric suppy to a certain company who supports them, the company will make a one off donation to them for each new customer and then also a once a year donation for each costomer...........this is what we the pigeon fancier are up against, a highly organised and highly funded enemy.

I brought this up about a year ago and sent a email to the bhw guess what ! STILL WAITING>
