Very brittle, and one has to be careful as they can break, shatter very easily. A metal drill, 4 mm, will drill tham. Yes, clear, they are possible the best thing on our lofts. Clear pexplex is great, but one has to be real careful.

Also needs corking, so loses out with the added ventalation, but birds are apt to get a sense of Home is, far better. JMO

I had an Onduline roof on the shed I purchased last year,  It tends to sag so needs plenty of support, mine are 18"  centres. I've noticed it gets very hot in the Summer and I'm considering insulating it this year.

It takes a nailed fixing, with the plastic weather protection fixings. The  Onduline I used (black) was not brittle, it was quite flexible and easily nailed.

Onduline and Coroline are basically the same product. There made by the same company. The only difference being that onduline is slightly thicker.

There between 10 and 12 pounds a sheet, which is roughly 7 x 4.

Google them.. theres plenty of place that supply them.

I put these sheets on my young bird loft 3 years ago and cant fault them. I cut a series of squars in the old roof first to give that bit of added ventilation and just laid them over the top.

Just finished a roof of a pigeon loft for my mate and as previously mentioned, with support struts at close intervals, it's good stuff.

i would put thin ply or hardboard with holes cut into them then the onduline, so the air can go out but but that way they will be supported and not get to hot in the summer

Am to roof my adjacent shed. Is brick built and has an abspesors roof - Don't you just love the spelling ;) ;D. Anni road, had words for a favour owed.... hopefully a new roof is being delivered this week. Yes metal with plastic coating. - Trouble is, can't remember which side of the fence the favours are falling lol.

Will have to double wrap the oled roof, and wait till end of Jan till he has a special Skip delivered to take the ole roof away. So suppose the ole saying 'Only as rich as your friends' still stands eh! :o :-/ ;D ;D Mind will have to pay a mite for a mucker to put up etc.

Be Careful with the clear stuff because you will get a lot of condensation with it - and I mean a lot!! Mine is 2 sheets wide in the middle of widower loft but on some damp foggy/misty mornings the loft floor can get quite wet with condensation dripping from the clear sheets.

Also, have to agree with early post put it on ply first or it will sag.

Wouldn't use clear because cats/birds of prey will be a nuiscence.  Just make sure as I've said before, struts are at close intervals, no more that 18" apart.
