The Distance Open Race Open To All

hypothetically speaking if their was an open race from one of the race points in France say alencon for example. open to all members of any recognized pigeon club in Scotland. whare all money generated was used for transport conveyor diesel ect all that was left was put up for prize money would you send any birds to a race set up like this.

if say the snfc dropped the ypres race out of its race program (as some are talking about),why not from there,could hold a sale to get funds together to get it up and running get a sponser ? .

the way this race is made up it is open to all club members in scotland.no need for membership to 1 our other of the nats.

Yes an Open race from Reims would be great in theory IF supported.Problem being that it would be at the expense of both National Clubs as far as entrys into their channel programs are concerned, so on that basis commitment could be a problem IMO.

I don't know where all the doos would come from to have another channel Open race. Why would a member of the SNFC/SNRPC use pigeons for an Open race when they need them for National Racing?? Canny see it working from where i am. jmo

being down here in the england and i have no place on here really with you scottish boys,,,,,but,,,,,the idea is a fantastic one,,,but,,,pigeon fanciers are there own worse enemies,,,,,,you all want everything,but,all of you wont stick together in tryng to sort anything for future racing wether thats in the whole of uk or just one country,,,,,,,,hope no offend by sayin that as not my intention to offend,,,,,,just think all pigeon fanciers should be together on such a race,,,,,thats where the rest of europe beats us with there big races,,,,,,,think about it,,,just a wee small opinon,,hope i put right for you gentlemen !!!

skibereen as a test case, have a few sales for prize moneys have the race July with a potentialy a prize of £20.000 to the winner 2 sales will get you half of the prize money sell raffles football cards sponcers £10 entry and be issued with 2 football cards to sell just one big one loft race

the furthest flier would be in frazerburgh,513 mile

the shortest would be stranrare 290.mile and it would be a 343 mile to race into annan area

so you see there are all true measurements and all get clear runs at it no sooner have your birds hit the land and they are nearer there sheds for every fancier on there line of flight

giving you on the first year a total of £70,000

section prizes also taking the £10,000 off would leave

£60,000 better than any one loft race as your entry would be at the race on the day, and you been the trainer any takers

west wind would put them out at sea walter most of the journey, and your birds would end up on the east coast at about montrose area, when heading home me thinks
