Daisymay Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Sending 4 and every one a tryer.257 mls to Bo'ness and some yards
Delboy Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 looking at the long range forecast the wind will vary from SW to WSW . so why are you deciding on only sending one Gareth . have you seen a lot of birds go down in previous years when the wind is SW.it would not take much for me to hold on to yb,s till next year. I think what Gareth means is, its typical that the west section has the wind against it in this national. Even with an east wind we would still struggle with winning this particular national.I predict the winners in Eyemouth doing 1400 vel and the west section winner 1100s as per norm.
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 looking at the long range forecast the wind will vary from SW to WSW . so why are you deciding on only sending one Gareth . have you seen a lot of birds go down in previous years when the wind is SW.it would not take much for me to hold on to yb,s till next year.Only sending one as the young bird program with Lanarkshire fed is not geared to sending pigeons to the young bird national added to this the terain is not suited for inexperienced young birds to navigate home to the west and as usual with the west south west winds I would not be surprised if the North section time before the first pigeons in the west and this flying 80 miles shorter. have sent good teams in the past including 20 in 2008 only to get 3 back in race time with them being no 16,19 and 20 on the entry sheet. Hopefully my single entry will do me proud as I want to win in all SNFC races,
clockman Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Hope to send 5 or 6, 278 miles.Section C.
