THE FIFER Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 I had one on mine returned from RPRA stating venders signature required the person that holds the registration card is the owner, some are attached to pedigrees
Fair Play Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 That is what I sent in Ring card ,pedigree and details of where the bird was bought even sent £1.50 for transfer but never got it back
aye ready Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 i think its 50p a doo from the shu aswell to get them transfered :) don't think their transfered as such because the ring card is proof of ownership but you can register them with the unions in case they get lost
robbiedoo. Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 don't think their transfered as such because the ring card is proof of ownership but you can register them with the unions in case they get lost same difference they are registered in your name here in the uk . ;)
Guest neil Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 i transfer mine with union of issuei.e. belgium union for belge birds cost me i think 2 eurosif you lose them they will contact you otherwise they contact original owner who may tell whoever to keep the pigeon or not respond at allWhen you think about it why report belg etc. birds to rpra/whu/shu/nehu.-yes they allow you to register them with them for racing purposes and charge you,but does that make you the official owner? i dont know, perhaps someone else can shed some light if by registering them you become the owner,i know with the whu you register GB birds but you still transfer them with rpra,it may be different with the ring card situationNeil
PIGEON_MAN Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 I understand what you mean if it gets reported but to be able to race them they must be registered with the RPRA in your name,I allways ring the RPRA first and ask if a Belg,or any other foreign rung bird is registered with them if I get one in,saves making costly calls to Belgium etc, mind saying that I spoke to 3 differant people in Belgium the other week about a stray before I found out it was registered at the RPRA.
