A little bit of good news, someone has been sent to prison for trying to smuggle peragrin eggs onto a plane. Thats 10 of the buggers that willnot hatch.

This is unreal not only do we have the rspb helping grow the bop population we have arseholes smuggling eggs in

Are you keepin some for stock or racein them all next year as yearlins? I am a big fan of getin them trained in the year of their birth but if you push them too far durin the moult youll loose them and a proper moult is very important. Very seldom that a bird thats had a poor moult in the back end of the year will perform to its peak ability.

give them 4 or 5 10 milers but pick good days, as long as they arent bald theyll be fine. Give them plenty of baths and let them excercise around the loft then ;)

Just feed them any mix you like George, they will go through the moult well on any decent breeding mix. I usually add some Linseed for its oily properties, and i give them Red Band every day to bring them in.

They win in the show pen so i guess its working ok for me.
