Guest bigda Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 i personally think the national has made a pigs ear of this race, with the welfare of the doos in mind, they should have basketed on Saturday as we knew the weather on Thursday and all about the wind, so there was no excuse to send, when in the interest of the birds as a concern, it would have been different had it been over the water, and it is no good saying we thought we where going to get one, when we know the controllers we have are the most cautious in Scotland, they have the powerto call the shots on our behalf, and it should have been made for sat basketing in all honesty hope this is a lesson to the committee, as the weather was staring you all straight in the face from Thursday and as far back as Wednesday bigda as it was

ritchie1 Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 as far as race controllers go they have been spot on with holding the birds back all birds will get a good race the morra all members get a fare chance in there section well done this weekend as everyone ealse has had big losses
clyde Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 oh hall booked thats a good one, what about thinking of that on a Wednesday hall not needed till Saturday, why have a committee that are only interest is in getting first hand news, and not telling any of its members anything, is that not the job of the committee to get the birds to the site and welfare of the birds, then once delivered the race controllers take over, but only after they are at the site so don't blame me mate about what you put up with, as you say i am not member, but forced to go with a mickey mouse mob such as it isbigda here for the Pilgrims bigda you want 2 give us a break and shut up about the snfc
Guest bigda Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 as far as race controllers go they have been spot on with holding the birds back all birds will get a good race the morra all members get a fare chance in there section well done this weekend as everyone ealse has had big losses Ritchie i am not talking about the race controllers here, let me tell you this, this has to do with the race committee. no one else they have to take the blame here they sit back with all the perks, its there job to check out sites, weather thats what committees are for, the race controller controls the lib have you got that and the flight path on the day or next, so ask the committee when they had the meeting about the race was it on Wednesday as thats when it should have been OK, wish people on here would read the threads properly and get to understand the workings of there unions, race controllers have nothing to do with the birds un till on site the committee has to get them on site for a race only if the weather is going to be favorable and it was known it was not from Wednesday so its there faltbigda not looking for anything other than telling you all as it is and who dose what job

BLACK W F Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 looks like bigda thinks the committee are at fault well they maybe could have put the race back 48 hrs who knows maybe Gasreth has some answers
Guest bigda Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 looks like bigda thinks the committee are at fault well they maybe could have put the race back 48 hrs who knows maybe Gasreth has some answers alan you and i know the commitee treat the national members just like mushroom always kept in the dark and when anything is said, you get the silent treatment, that dose not bother me but i get pms by the dozen as to why there are no word, there are even members say they dont even get results sent out from the national and get told nothing but i will keep chipping away as they ask me to bring it out, and as i know once they read this they will garanteed go back and stick there head in the sand and hope i go away
TOMTHEBOMB Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 BIGDA when have your fed committe agreed to basket on a saturday?with the strong mighty lanarkshire fed.Your on hear talking sh*t about a natoinal thats got nothing to do with you.You should get your own fed to sort there own problems out and never bother stiring crap about other committe members if you dont like the snfc rules go some where else. tom the bomb as it is
WulDon Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 BIGDA... if you are as wise and good as you make out why arent you on the committee then???

Guest bigda Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 BIGDA... if you are as wise and good as you make out why arent you on the committee then??? it would be a pleasure to be on the committee and there would be a shake up one thing i would have is my, your own transporter own baskets and own hall with members of all regions contrabuting into sales and functions to rase the awareness of long distance racing not playing at middle distance puppets, would also have a national that have 600 mile races only big boy stuff
JADE Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 snfc wouldnt last 5 minutes with you on the committee. when the birds went on thursday we knew it was going to be a north wind but did not expect a holdover. however due to the strength of the wind on the south coast the controllers and convoyers have judged that it is in the best interests of the pigeons to wait until conditions are as favourable as possible unlike feds who liberated on friday and saturday with returns varying from 5% to 25% on the day from less than 400 miles. I know who I have most confidence in

I know who I have most confidence in sorry jade you have failed to mention the new transport i would be looking into for the national, but the argument is nothing to do with the race controller as the birds should not have been sent, and then pass the buck onto the race controller once delivered read the threads its the responsibility of the committee to see the birds are going to get a race not the race controllers and should the comittee have held over 48 hours the race controller would not be in the posission he finds him self in
BLACK W F Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 looks like bigda has hit the nail on the heed he fairly puts the truth across looks like he has hit a few raw nerves wheres gareth maybe he will shine some light on the subject

JADE Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 i would love a new state of the art transporter and would be prepared to pay additional subs to raise funds but unfortunately the majority of members wont support it. however a new transporter wouldnt have made any difference to the strength of the wind at eastbourne and not even you on the committee would have changed that. are you seriously suggesting that the management committee decide prior to a race whether the birds are marked on a specific day. no controller worth his salt would take the job under these conditions
