Mr Yorkie Posted May 22, 2010 Report Posted May 22, 2010 There's no Scottish birds about in North Yorkshire but if we get any we'll feed and water and would ask the scottish lads to do the same. We race from Berwick next week, Thurso the week after so perhaps could meet?
Guest THE DOO BOY Posted May 22, 2010 Report Posted May 22, 2010 3/5 from wakefield libbed at 6:45 1st bird was 11:07
robbiedoo. Posted May 22, 2010 Report Posted May 22, 2010 The Yorkshire North Road Fed libbed from Fraserburgh at 6.15 this morning. Returns aren't good down here with some fanciers only having one or two back. We have 7 missing including my Queen's Cup winner so not really a good race for us. sorry to here about your returns . i just missed your doos getting liberated but one of my club mates said it was a cracking liberation the doos never even circled
Delboy Posted May 22, 2010 Report Posted May 22, 2010 Almond valley 41/45 timed 11.11 am, 7/8 with lanarkshire
Mr Yorkie Posted May 22, 2010 Report Posted May 22, 2010 I think it's probably the heat that's just got to them. Lets face it none of us are used to it! Factor 30 and I'm still burnt red roar!
Guest Davy Fleming Posted May 22, 2010 Report Posted May 22, 2010 Noticed the sun and moon was out most of the day at the same time ????????????????
Guest IB Posted May 22, 2010 Report Posted May 22, 2010 North West Fed liberated Wakefield 0545. 185 miles to me, I timed 0957 doing 1293. Race was won 0938 by Martin Conlin doing 1399, so I'm well off pace. Martin's 3rd win in a row. As Billy_g says returns at clocks (two hours after your 1st pigeon) were very poor, I'd 5/12. Thats now up to 10/12, last pigeon to drop was at 1956, a 3 y-o, 2 still to come are the only 2 yearlings I had at the race, 2 cocks, and both unraced as YBs. Still 23C in shade here but at least it feels cooler.
Guest redlad24 Posted May 22, 2010 Report Posted May 22, 2010 barleycove liberated at 9 30 got two together at 13 22, a bit of the result 12th and 13th, had 4/6 at 5 havent bn home since so hoping they are back

billt Posted May 22, 2010 Report Posted May 22, 2010 9/9 from newarkHeat must have been a problem today, I'm not racing and mine are on open loft, after a couple of circuits mine landed really panting made me think the race birds must be struggling
