Guest Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 Just been reading the results of the Concourse I flew in when I lived in Washington state for their 500. One club sent 148 birds and got 14 and the other club sent 38 and got 4, two clubs didn't send. There are some good distance men, but I have to wonder why this happened, as the weather was good for the race. Is it a case of long distance flying dying a death in the States as most flyers now are investing in the 300 mile futurity/money families of pigeons. what a shame
Guest Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 sent 5 to huntingdon 307mls none back :-/,same 5 at 234 mls last week, only 4 birds timed in club out of 40

REDCHEQHEN Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 4 sent to Lille - almost 317 miles, all back - these were liberated relatively late - 9.40am and homed at 16.10 - or atleast the first one did. Wonder if the visibilty was poor at your lib time Clockman and Birdman4610, there's still a chance they will home.
