just wondered the forums veiws on letting birds out everyday in the winter or keeping them in [work and time permitting off course] :)

 

well when asked before i said let them out but i let mine out a week ago and lost 8-9 in foggy weather lol so i would say keep em in now until weather is back to normal

LET MINE OUT EVERY DAY IF IT IS OKAY, MEANING KEPT IN IF VERY HIGH WINDS OR FOGGY

I dont think there's anything to be gained by letting them out everyday during winter. Mine go out once a week for a bath.

Mine are kept in til Jan  :).... they always get a bath once a week in the aviary.  :)

Mines have been out for a good few weeks now as they are going to the Danderhall Club Cristmas race,From Morpeth approx 82 miles.

Had about 6 training tosses of about 20-30 miles so here goes

Sending 6, basket Friday night, lib Sat morning.Last year they were flying for around £6300 in pools and prizes.

HAD MINE OUT ON FRIDAY WHILE I SCRAPED OUT HEARD THE LOT GOING UP AND THEN THE CROWS GOING MENTAL.

BY THE TIME I GOT OUT INTO THE PARK THE HAWK WAS STARTING TO PLUCK THE PIGEON >:( >:( >:( >:( CHASED IT OF IT AND THE PIGEON HEADED TOWARDS THE TREES WITH THE HAWK IN HOT PURSUIT :'( :'( BLACK PIED COCK HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN SINCE :'( :'( :'(

mine are out everyday, regardless of weather conditions but as they're all paired they don't fly so much, cocks normally chase hens up and down loft roof.
