REDCHEQHEN Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 Going off the thread about corn and corn prices - how far do you travel to get your supplies - corn etc My nearest supplier is 8 miles away ( South) I don't even know where any others are :-/ except: there is a farm a further 5 miles south of the above corn store - but never looked in yet to compare prices

Guest Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 Not so much distance for me but time & inconvenience: I've two suppliers 20 & 30 minutes away by bus. Bought in bulk from the nearest the last two years and my feeding is delivered, which is a godsend.

Roland Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 12 miles and then 20, and wheat has go up with barley to nearly £6 a bag of 20k. Young bird mix is £7 : 80 and that will be their lot with linseed or a little added till race season.
