  1. You could pick up a complete system on E-Bay for about £300.E-bay is a great place to pick up cheaper ETS rings too!
  2. TRAVIPHARMA LW PARASITES. Has anyone used this product, no information on ingredients, says its for louses and mild worm infestions so wondered if it contained Ivamec, though I heard it was an effective product, would be glad to hear peoples experiences? Pete.
  3. I know this is off topic, but for those of you that send to Exeter and are unaware, The Haldon area is heavily populated with Peregines. Recently there have been reports of Goshawks in Haldon forest too. ??)
  4. Thanks for all of your input. Richy doesn't have any of those rings. We've tried the RPRA. These birds weren't wingstamped. To me it looks like someone has used these rings on UK bred birds. Best thing I think is to put them on the "found" column of the UK pigeon weeklys, thats what I'll suggest I think.
  5. A fellow club member has the following birds enter his loft in Plymouth, ZAFB 2007 21155 & ZAFB 2007 46224, a blue and a cheq I think. We have no idea as to the origin of the birds. One has an ETS ring on, the other a rubber, Any ideas as to where these birds have come from would be appreciated. Thanks, Peter.
  6. So you didn't do bad then? First bird into Plymouth was 1840 I think, thats about 1000ypm. Birds working this morning, got 2/3, they're very tired though!

    race day

We were at Messac today, up at 12-55, it was a wipe-out....just 3 or 4 birds home in the fed. I hope everyone else had a better day than us.
  11. Full cloud cover in Plymouth, no rain, think we will stay dry here today looks like the rain has passed north of us. Light N.E. wind.
  12. We're up at 11-00. No sign locally of any south in the wind whatsoever just east. The tip of cornwall is starting to get a bit of a s.e, I will post on here as soon as the wind changes to s.e. but the race might be over by then. Good luck.
  13. good here, sunny, a bit cooler than yerterday. 15mph easterly wind. Are you channel racing today carlsberg?

What combine are you racing with Ben, with this wind I'd have thought you'd have some by now.

  16. Sorry to hear about this Delboy, hope more work back although even those have now had a setback that could take some getting over. Heard it's been a cool start to the day which won't help birds that are already fatigued. Good luck today.
  17. Plymouth, dry, sunny, some cloud nothing serious, light N.E. wind...in short, MUCH BETTER THAN YESTERDAY!

  20. Are you up from Leicester yet Ken?
  21. Don't you mean NO lib line..... ;D money money money
  22. Been raining all morning in Plymouth, it's just stopped and is trying to brighten up but something tells me more rain isn't too far away.
  23. Maybe honey isn't as popular with fanciers because it's not the "lattest thing", doesn't come in the form of a pill or costs £20 a jar. Food for thought? ;D
  24. The Egyptians were right, honey is a miracle food. When archaeologists opened up the Faroes tombs they found honey and guess what? after thousands of years the honey was still good for eating....not tainted by bacteria after thousands of years! Back to basics?
