p charlton Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 was chating to the lads last night in the club about the ETS what happens if someone puts the pads on the outside of the loft i know the rules say they must be in the loft but the is some people who will do it to gain a egde
THE FIFER Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 they should be put in position and sealed by officials, before racing
p charlton Posted March 5, 2008 Author Report Posted March 5, 2008 yeh but they wont and i know 100% the is people who brake the rules
Michael J Burden Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 who cares just get faster pigeons. You are arguing over the past. Have not the club officials got enough to do?
Guest slugmonkey Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 you can take a lead seal and wire the pad in place with this to eure there is no tampering
p charlton Posted March 5, 2008 Author Report Posted March 5, 2008 who cares just get faster pigeons. You are arguing over the past. Have not the club officials got enough to do? i will be buying one that will be in the loft but how can you say get faster birds if they are people braking rules and cheating buy having the pads out side the loft if i get beat buy a better pigeon i will do my best to beat it the week after but i dont want beating buy cheats its not the past its now
Guest spin cycle Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 who cares just get faster pigeons. You are arguing over the past. Have not the club officials got enough to do? he's right ,we've just got to get on with it and accept some will adopt 'sharp practice'. it's part of the game now. even if 3 pads are sealed in position whats to stop other pads being concealed under rooves etc. if ets is here to stay then, probably, all rules about pads and positioning should go. club officials are not 'swat' teams (raiding lofts). the positioning and use of ets is now part of the race and the only consolation for conv. clockers will be added satisfaction when they beat them.
NANCYVIEWLOFTS Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 ets is the only clocking in system that i am aware of that does not require SEALING WHY ?????? ps i am not anti ets i just wondered
PIGEON_MAN Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 ets is the only clocking in system that i am aware of that does not require SEALING WHY ?????? ps i am not anti ets i just wondered If you have seen a UNIKON pocket clock can you explain how you are going to seal that, also the RPRA have decided that there is no need for any thing to be sealed, the SHU I believe have a rule that says the pads must be sealed in the loft.It is the club officials responsability to check if fanciers are positioning the pads outside of the loft if they dont pull these fanciers up then they to are breaking the rules.
carl Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 whats stopping people having pads sealed in the loft when officials check but when no one is around, hey look another pad hidden, unplug the sealed pad and plug the unsealed one in then can be placed anywhere,,,its that easy to cheat, these pads only plug in with a kind of computer plug??????????????????????????????????
PIGEON_MAN Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 Perhaps some of our Scottish fanciers can answear that one as I believe their union is the only one that as the rule about sealing the pads in the loft.

Lennut Tar Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 whats stopping people having pads sealed in the loft when officials check but when no one is around, hey look another pad hidden, unplug the sealed pad and plug the unsealed one in then can be placed anywhere,,,its that easy to cheat, these pads only plug in with a kind of computer plug?????????????????????????????????? At unit 10 as an example, in the big club in florida USA etc, it's quite normal to have the pads outside the loft to clock their birds, before the enter through the bobs etc. Exactly the same as it is in my area also. "Maybe not fair" ??????? & in the spirit of the sport, so to speak. But that's just the way it is, for many flyers in different areas. Enjoy.

Price was 19/6d ... that's 95p. and it cost a 1/- ( A shilling or a 'Bob' (5p) deposit and 20 weeks at a 'Bob' a week. Golly how he ever afforded a shilling every week heaven only knows lol : : ;D

Guest spin cycle Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 I have one near the chimney pot on the house, is this ok? They spend all day up there and only come in at night ;D ;D exellent. but why stop there? you are restricted to 3 pads but not the size. why not have one the size of the whole roof? or at least the length of ridgeline ;)
