Guest j.bamling Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 It looks like it going to be bigger and better than Last year
Guest Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 Please count me in, prefer middle or long if poss but happy to take part regardless
Roland Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 Mac just a suggestion why dont you have every fancier pay £5 up to now you have 34 names 34 x £5 = £170 The best young bird performance wins £85 and the breeder wins £85 will make it a interesting young bird season Good idea, but would spoil it next season for sure...as Just when would it be possible to decide on the best performance of the 69 eligible canidates... All would have a case pressed forward I fear... Saw a great y/b that won 5 Feds, that was 2 on the South Rd. and 3 on the North Rd entered for a RPRA merit award. Was given a good write up full stop, and around the 4th mark!!! A bird considered better hadn't won one fed! 1984 I believe.More extroadianay was that this bird was from Wales. So both ways took some doing!
blaz Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 put it to vote from them takeing part cant vote for your own bird if its a tie mac 1 gets to pick
pjc Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 Rolland it could be put to a panel of members that havn't entered birds from the forum without ring numbers just performances including birdage, milage, vel etc over the youngbird season but at the end of the day i'm sure we are just doing it for a bit of fun, arn't we? Phil

Wiley Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 I know Mac has had a few pms from some members who dont want to pay £5 so its up to Mac hes running the swap thing is you need to consider is courier isnt getting any cheaper also
Guest Thunder Birds Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 Please put me down for one!
Roland Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 No problem personally with the £5. And Phil I fully take on board your point(s). But I'd say I am more right than wrong knowing the mentality of many. So for me it should - as you say - stay as a bit of fun, and hopefully the benefit being that somewhere some with get a good outcross into their birds.
mac1 Posted November 17, 2008 Author Report Posted November 17, 2008 I know Mac has had a few pms from some members who dont want to pay £5 so its up to Mac hes running the swap i think i will be better if no money was involved, the whole point in the swap was to make freinds try your birds in other clubs ect..
Guest Grasshopper Lofts Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 i would agree just a bit of fun
