Delboy Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 would you think the snfc and the snrpc would lose there inland nationals if this happened Yes, I think most people think the inland nationals are losing there appeal, especially when there is an east wind ;D
Guest Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 Yes, I think most people think the inland nationals are losing there appeal, especially when there is an east wind ;D Why has the SNFC adopted two then Delboy.???????????????????????
Delboy Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 Why has the SNFC adopted two then Delboy.??????????????????????? The SNFC officials dont decide, the members wanted two inland races and thats what they got
Guest stb Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 that is as good a reason as any for trying to get it going again. too many feds going down the road with half empty transporters liberating 15 mins apart. not sure about dropping inland nationals as they seem to be well supported. how about a race from the coast 2nd week in july (hardly any racing into scotland last weekend at the height of the season)not knocking it just being realistic with the birdage, mabey bout 4-5000 nowadays as most are nearly halfed in last ten years.
W.D. Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 Its a good idea Jock, just watch out when its a south wind from the shorter race points if you do get it off the ground. When it was last going all the shorter flying birds ended up in the north of Scotland from about 200+ miles, luckily for us their transporter brought them down and libbed them at the Forth Bridge the following week end.I think that was the last year it was organised, and our fed might have even voted against going with them after that.

Yes, remember that and have posted on it before. Maybe my 2nd year back in pigeons? the North West Fed AGM voted to come out of it because it was felt our birds were being dragged north, especially the young birds. You could almost guarantee they'd be back 2 weeks after the race, having been brought back down & released locally.
alec guinness Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 av fed going to try and get east of scotland amal going 2010 open to all think the clue is in the title jock "east of scotland" think almond valley is central scotland based and dont really think this will benefit the a/v fed members, certainly not the ones at "the tail of the bank" ;)
jock3 Posted July 16, 2009 Author Report Posted July 16, 2009 now now john this is not just about av fed , look AT the biggar picture first and foremost the birds ?

blaz Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 win lose or draw i won,t be one of the moaners .i would just like to take part in a race with this type of bidage. it wont be easy for jock so a bit more encouragement would not go a miss.
Guest Davy Fleming Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 I have met hundreds of really decent lads over the last 35 years in the pigeon circles and also realise there are a certain amount of politics in the game but am always prepared to put them aside if it is for the benefit of the birds AND fanciers. Many of you lads who in there own right are probably very decent guys but maybe are needing to forget much of the past and look forward to the future. Just think and imagine having races with all these Feds and the excitement it causes and don't tell me it's no big deal because it is simple brilliant. !st Club , !st Fed , !st Amal An Absolutely fabulous pigeon that that can rise to this test and get the result from 4-6 thousand pigeons possibly, who knows; and this is only possible if we get together and WANT TO, WILL DO and CAN DO attitude. No negativity is needed . So I would say to you all think about this and have a positive attitude about it all and maybe it will get off the ground and bring fantastic racing to us all

hotrod Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 great idea john hope it gets off the ground . maybe the two nationals could drop the inland nationals and get back to two or three channel races and let the feds /combines/ amals take care of the inland stuff
