Guest frank dooman Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 i think most fanciers know that there are a few lib points that are not perfect regarding facilitys both for birds and for the drivers this is mainly on the old race points that members pull out there hat at agm,s all of the offical lib points for the RPRA must have all thease fac.on site and also be able to take HGV,S some have slight prob.when it is a car/lorry park with filling up but is very common for convoyers to stop at the nearest good fac.so they can get toilet/shower and easy good water for the birds and then move to the lib point just before liberating nothing wrong with that just good management from the convoyer for both him and the birds

Delboy Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 I think enough is enough with these kind of threads .The SNFC is without doubt one of the premier clubs in the British Isles and any speculation should be policed by moderators. Some serious allegations etc on an Open Forum can lead to all sorts of legal implications. Once again, as a SNFC committee member, I urge you all to make yourselves heard at the clubs AGM and nowhere else. Thankyou, Derek Hay
Guest frank dooman Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 that might be fine at 100 mile no 450 and a day hold over plenty of time to be on site with water filled tanks and truck leveled of birds settled doesnt matter danny if its 100ml or 700ml the birds and convoyers deserve proper conditions and some of the race points used by the shu dont have thease thats a fact we have all been responsible for thease i dont know anything about your transporter but would be very surprised to hear that any orginisation would take birds to any race points without proper vech. especialy the snfc they know what they are doing
Chris Little Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 This thread must rank as one of the worst ever to appear on this forum. After reading through it I have lost the will to live
alex wight Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 I think it is sad to see this type of discussion going. Slating and accusing the very people that are trying their hardest for the benefit of others. Yes questions should be answered if there are any, but on a forum is not the place to do it, thats where the agm comes into play. We all want the very best for our pigeons and in my opinion, the people elected for the SNFC, are doing a great job in trying to achieve that. They/ we will never get it spot on all of the time, but as long as all that can be done, is being done, thats all that can be expected. Is it any wonder why people aren't attracted to the sport, and on the same note, that fanciers do not want to take on roles for just this very reason. If there was any wrong doing in anyone's eyes, 6 months down the line on a forum is not the place to be discussing it, in my opinion.
sammy Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 NOW WOULD SOME KIND MOD NOW LOCK THIS DAFT THREAD

Guest stb- Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 NOW WOULD SOME KIND MOD NOW LOCK THIS DAFT THREAD yip now run its course and any issues can be adressed at agm
Guest bigda Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 what could be a bad thing, is giving our birds water from another country, i know of horse racing managers that take there own water supply with them for there horses when racing abroad, could be in our best interest to adapt the same and should we need water buy it in the big gallon bottles if we run low on our own supply, we cant drink the water over there but we give it to the doos :-/
alec guinness Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 have again read this thread which appears to have gone on a mazy run, :-/ :-/ 1 the race was to comemerate the war dead. 2 any deficit incurred was to be costed by a third party. 3 the PRESIDENT of the snfc was with the convoy from start to finish. 4 the race was a complete success with regards returns. these are only a few key points imo,on a personnel note i had 4 birds at the race and 3 of the 4 were clocked within 1 hour in the morning with the other bird arriving a few days later, this was for me and my father our most disapointing national of the season, neverless the race was WITHOUT DOUBT one of the snfc and also lanarkshire feds most successful races of the last 10 years :) :)hope ypres is included in the snfc programme for 2010.
walterbmasson Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 frank dooman and delboy yes the AGM IS THE PLACE TO SORT PROBLEMS OUT THERE IS NO PROBLEM LETTING CONVOYERS GET FACILITIES SHOWER TOILET ETC BUT THERE MUST BE A CERTAIN TIME THE BIRDS MUST LIE WITH OUT BEING BANGED ABOUT AND THAT SHOULD BE MADE CLEAR TO THE MEMBERS OF THIS GREAT WHAT TIME LIMIT THE BIRDS ARE GETTING BEFORE BEING LIBERATED FANCIERS SHOULD KNOW BEFORE THEY SEND THERE BEST BIRDS WHAT IS HAPPENING I KNOW I LIKE TO GIVE MY BIRDS A 5MIN BEFORE A TRAINING TOSS

Guest bigda Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 here one for yeh then from yer race controler Walter are there any organisations that Lib at 05.00 i believe that to be no with the earliest lib time this year of any organisation to my knowledge being 05.30??, if i could liberate them at 04.00 i would and it would make a hell of a difference to the volume of pigeons timed in on the shift to the west of Scotland and all areas for that matter. The SNFC this year had a multitude of different liberation times this down to mainly the weather which we have no influence on. cheers Gareth
