showman Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 I have no problem with this but have a problem about advertising on the Forum how much is paid out to each applicant as this will then lead to a never ending debate as to how we came about the sum gifted or refused. If the five committee members agree to a gift and the sum and it is open to them to check all income and expenditure I think this should suffice. Ian So the membership has no access to see how the fund is managed ?
Guest blythy1 Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 i will put a pair of young birds up should be end of march.

blaz Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 brilliant if i can help in anyway all you need to do is ask gary cairns /blaz
DOVEScot Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 Ian as far as I am concerned you are one of the most open, honest and helpful in the pigeon world. Producing a balance sheet once a year or even more will let people see who is donating etc and where their contributions have gone. That will not only keep it transparent but encourage members to take part :-/
Roland Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 I will of course donate. Whether it be a youngster or two or a donation of cash I will have to decide later. The reason simply is I have, as most will know, bought in to restock and start again in reality. So it will be depending on the hatch and number of youngsters raised, that will decide which which it is too be.
Roland Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 good luck ian and your committee for getting this good cause going again i know it is in safe hands And I fully echo that!

swilcox Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 Firstly this is a great way of Pigeon Fanciers helping Pigeon Fanciers, something that is all too rare nowadays!!!! The second thing is trust and i think Ian is a top guy and a step in the right direction for the forum and trust in him we must have!!!!! I believe an annual summery showing total in, total out and balance left should be adequate for all members as actual totals donated to an individual can cause possible conflict. Its inevitable that the fund will recieve some very honest and justified claims, it can also work the other way so these things have to i assume be handled carefully.
