BLACK W F Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 We have an In egg, chipping, hatching, squeaker, old bird, veteran of the loft so why not have a bad egg to tag the defaulters. more like ROTTEN EGG that fits the bill better ;D ;D ;D ;D
Guest thunderbird Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 birds sold are the responsibility of sellers and buyers and the person>holding auction no one else.s to think otherwise will only result in witch hunt??is that what members want a public flogging if the birds are not claimed or paid for then re list them that's the end of it
maxwell Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 With regards pm bids i have bought a few birds and always just pm the people in charge with my bid i then get a reply saying my bid is in place. I bought lot 10 in Mick Bowlers sale nothing to hide and as soon as i was told i had won the bird cheque was put in the post. Its something to stop the none payers is what's wanted i would of thought.
Guest strapper Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 its sad to see trail by Internet ????? surely its easy to get in touch with non payers and if they cant be gotten hold off then give it to underbidder..life.s to short to witchhunt ;) dont you think this has already been thought of and done ?...its not a witch hunt but making sure fanciers who deserve better arent messed about with non payers . some sums of money owing aint just a few quid. some of the non payers have been contacted on several occasions and have yet to pay....you state if they dont pay then pass it onto the under bidder...what if the non payer is the only bidder?...as in the charity auctions that means there is funds missing because of non payers. im sure you can understand that its not just a one off for certain non payers.
p charlton Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 a coulple of them may have problums getting on the site the seems a number of people who have
Guest strapper Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 a coulple of them may have problums getting on the site the seems a number of people who have yes thats right...but there are some that can and have phone numbers of the birds they bid on...suppose the phone lines are down too?... the site has probs but it hasnt had them everyday and night for 2months.
cemetary Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 a coulple of them may have problums getting on the site the seems a number of people who have Some of the ones that still HAVE TO PAY FOR THERE WINNING BIDS, dont have problems getting onto the site, cause they are on and off here most nights,
Guest frank dooman Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 surely the usernames of non payers are on the final post of the auction for all to see, i think thats the only way to deal with this but a condition of the sale must be that a post will go up say 2 weeks after the sale finnishes clearly marking up the names and fully paid up lots then there is no need to name and shame they will have done it them self
p charlton Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 lol i am just thinking of a reason i am making escuses for them dont have a go at me lol
dwh Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 birds sold are the responsibility of sellers and buyers and the person>holding auction no one else.s to think otherwise will only result in witch hunt??is that what members want a public flogging if the birds are not claimed or paid for then re list them that's the end of it as in all auctions if the hammer goes down on your bid then the lot is yours it is the responsibility of the seller to make sure that lot is in good condition/health it is the buyers responsibility to have the fund readilly available to pay 4 tha lot these online auctions are carried out in good faith so why should men not feel disgruntled when they've bred birds especialy when some of these men are habitually not paying up on winning bids and remember some men who are underbidders have already successfully bid on other lots and paid up so have already spent up ,mens pockets are'nt bottomless.this aint' a witch hunt m8 its men who have spent time and money producing top quality pigeons and men wasting time and losing out on birds that can make them a winning loft FACT ??)
Guest strapper Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 as in all auctions if the hammer goes down on your bid then the lot is yours it is the responsibility of the seller to make sure that lot is in good condition/health it is the buyers responsibility to have the fund readilly available to pay 4 tha lot these online auctions are carried out in good faith so why should men not feel disgruntled when they've bred birds especialy when some of these men are habitually not paying up on winning bids and remember some men who are underbidders have already successfully bid on other lots and paid up so have already spent up ,mens pockets are'nt bottomless.this aint' a witch hunt m8 its men who have spent time and money producing top quality pigeons and men wasting time and losing out on birds that can make them a winning loft FACT ??) well said dave m8....have you thought of running for council m8 ;D
swilcox Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 To me as the seller a pm bid from a known source such as fifer or sapper or the like means much more than a bid placed on the thread from Hatchling Red who joined yeaterday and has posted 3 times (just an example). The fact is most members dont like it known that they are bidding on certian pigeons until the bird is won and even then some see it as private business. Trustworthy sellers is whats most important followed by trustworthy buyers.

sapper756 Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 Another problem to consider by people not honoring their purchase, is that the donator/breeder of the birds, may have to change their plans as the youngsters may have been ready to go a week ago :-/ and may be too far on to send out now :-/
adam owen Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 i was one who didnt pay on time in maddy sale i was sent a reminder and appolagise for it i was told if i hadnt pmd back by a certain time then the lot would go back up again i mist that time my own fault and im sorry for it
