Guest vander mungo Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 This. Is the worse day ofkeeping pigeons a cat got in and killed 3 birds i use a water cannon whitch covers all area in front of loft, works with a battery operated sensor and is connected to live garden hose.activates when beam is broken, sends water everywhere, with a loud ratchet sound from cannon.keeps them away turn of water when your there or your getting it to

DOVEScot Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 I have not stopped crying as I was the one a at fault as I did not put the trap up when I went out I am sick think if I can't do them right I should just call it a day Sorry to hear the Rab, we had that happen in the new loft; Chick was in the old loft and I was making the new food hut when a cat got in and killed a few. I just missed it with my boot and a claw hammer. sad to say I had to relocate it when it came back :-/
Dunky Posted April 3, 2010 Report Posted April 3, 2010 I can sympathise with you mate, I'm just starting up this year & have had a cat problem for the last 2 weeks. It's taken 2 of my flying out stock birds & today snatched a youngster out of the air as it took off from the lawn. Really is a kick in the teeth as I'm only just trying to form my first team of youngsters to race this year. So many roof tops & overgrown gardens about here I don't have a clue where it comes from. What are the legalities regarding the actions I can take?. I know what I'd like to do to it, but my garden is overlooked by too many neighbours. A mate of mine told me that as a cat is not classed as a domestic animal there is no law preventing you from trapping one as long as you release it again (doesn't say where). Does anyone know if this is right?. I'd be interested in your comments, thanks Ian
billt Posted April 3, 2010 Report Posted April 3, 2010 I always worked on the theory that if a cat was in my garden or loft, it didn't belong to my neighbours because my kids weren't playing in their gardens
