I will be getting 20 rings as usual but will probably only rear about 14 to race. The other 6 will be a second round from my best breeders. These 6 will just be trained. I will only want to keep 4 to 6 young birds at the end of the season. Any spare after selection will be given away to anybody that wants them. I won't sell them because if they are not good enough to stay in my loft, they're not good enough to sell. I will only sell a pigeon that I would keep in my own loft if I had the space.

same as last year about 16 (plus 6 from albear)...i'm not really a y/b racer but i did enjoy having less last year...easier to train...and i got them out to 164 miles only loosing 2 racing but another 2 around the loft...remaining in to ob loft. IMO to much 'kudos' attached to yb racing and as result a lot are bred for 6 races and are either lost or culled at the end...thats not a 'hobby' to me. then again i'm probably to soft to be any good as a fancier...so it doesn't matter what i think.
