Interested to hear your views/comments, on what is your favorite type of pigeon, taking into consideration, colour, size and sex of the bird?

I personally like a dark pied, medium build, cock

There is very few I dont like. Dark pieds with a nice nut brown eye take a bit of beating medium apple boied with an elegant 'face'. I still have a liking for Mealies from my childhood, but my favourite colour will be the colour of my next prizewinner if there are to be any.

bought 2 herman x jansens for 2007 y/b season dark cheq's medium size birds great to hold nice and firm .  won of them won a race and payed for its self and its partner .thats the type i like

Hard question to answer, & it's got nothing to do with colour or size or sex of the pigeon type thing to me. But it's that pigeon that sits on the perch amongst all the others & they all look 2nd rate beside it. Because it just glows & looks like a million dollars & say's to you in it's own way, it could fly through a brick wall for you if you ask me etc.

Colour is only part of the genetic make up, winners come in all colours, shapes and sizes what matters most is how to motivate the bird to achieve optimum performance, as the old saying goes "Its whats in its head that matters".
