  1. Its 13.50 hrs and the female is tucking into her second meal of the day, anyone lost a blue one??????? Beware as these youngsters grow they will have to supply around 7 or 8 pigeons per day, so anyone in this area with youngsters missing look no further, they always take the birds that fly on the outer edges of the pack simular to a sheep dog sheeding sheep into a ring. She manouvres and gathers them up and then from high above once he see's and targets a bird flying loosly he shuts up into his lethal stoop and very rarely misses.
  2. "Hatched in May Fly all the Way" Race em hard because "if you stop em they'll drop em" sorry guys its after watershed and our lass has gone up to bed
  3. Happy Birthday Mark, enjoy..................................Hmmmmmmmmm?
  4. What you need mate is ORNI-INJECTABLE 0.5 ml per bird injected into the loose skin at the back of the birds neck. Telephone - 07855 329555 Mr.Rooney cost @ £30 = postage. Do not mess about get things sorted quickly before every bird goes down with it.
  5. Hows about the possibility of a Snakebite or Wasp / Bee sting or an allergy to something eaten. Our lass makes a wonderful hotpot, you eat & eat its so good but when you try to leave the table you go dizzy and pass out, only to come around in the arms of the ugliest woman you ever met, with a gurning toothless smile she says " you not leaving the table yet, you've not touched your pudding". Oh were did I go wrong..................................help!
  6. Terry you are right mate and I support you on this matter, but although the rpra have passed and put rules in place to allow the use of ets, the "Bolt Hole" is there for anyone or organisation to use and that is "they do not have to facilitate provision for the use of ets, should the officials of the organisation feel unqualified / or decline to be trained to use it". I feel that although a lot of money has changed hands from the fanciers pockets to install these systems in their lofts ready for racing the harder you put your point across the sooner they will run to the bolt hole, and state they are not prepared to provide provision of its use. You may challenge the federation by a letter of complaint and enclose a copy of the Disability Discrimination Act and ask for a written reply, please send by recorded delivery so someone has to sign for acknowledgement of your letter and take the matter from there on.

  8. When broke down this little beauty packs away into a cigarette packet, the name's Bond, Peregrine Bond. Nevermind Moneypenny get me the girls with guns and I'll put on my best suit for ya!
  9. The camera may well be programmed to take a shot at 2 second intervals, but if you could book a room at the top of the adacent apartment block, it would only take one for an ex cavalryman, better still any Guerkus on here?
  10. It would be an intersting comparision to ask the question "Who vaccinates against Paratyphus" ? I would further like to expand on the reference to the word "Law" if used with reference to the license conditions imposed by DEFRA it does not constitute as being refered to as being "Law" it is classified in documentation as being a "Code of Practice" and not classified a statutory imposed regulation. Yes I know what we are all led to believe, but an attorney worth his salt would have a field day with this issue tryed in a court of law. Most of us go along with it so we can get on with what we want to do best, and thats race our pigeons leave the politics to the politicians or it that too great a risk to leave in their hands surely they can't mess that up as well, or could they? >
  11. :K)I have just rung the youngsters I am swapping with Lenwadebob, they are belters out the top drawer for a top drawer flyer. Watch this space, theyre like onions OLDYELLOW they;ll make your eyes water, get the hanky's ready for as sure has eggs are eggs many tears will be shed. ;D :'( ;D :'( ;D :'( :o
  12. Whats wrong with the provision of mother nature which provides us with good olde " Cider Vinegar " 10mls to 2 litres of water for 2 days per week keeps the YEASTS at bay cannot survive in an acidic enviroment NCD ( No Can Do ) therefore no Yeasts no food for the bacterial / infections to feed from so the invasive bacteria dies and our pigeons immune system remains strong effective and intact without having to resort to using antibiotics. food for thought???
  13. Natural wormer, have you ever tried a spoonful yourself? theyre arent any type of worm that can hold on tight with gusty winds at that high velocity I can tell you, harsh stuff keep away from your lips. Ever tried the Tony Mardon Tonic??? I mean on your pigeons Mark, not the wife.
  14. Dont panic Jason, were all can appreciate you are very busy as we all are getting the birds going tending to the youngsters and the stock birds on top of that trying to run the gaunlet with the weather and getting a few training tosses in. Time is the essence, your doing a great job for us all and we do appreciate it, please dont neglect your own birds..... enjoy. Watchout for those North easterly winds that are forecast for saterday, keep those yearlings in the loft or you'll loose them.
  15. Time is up guys what is the best sprinting mixture on the market and secondly what is the best young bird racing mixture? this is a genuine enquiry so lets have some honest answers please!
  16. Young virgin stock everytime, if you don't believe me when out down the market with the missus this weekend take a glance in the prams of the young adolescent mums, there before your eyes is a strong, robust bouncing baby and that usually is the father? :K) :K) :K) :K) :K) :K) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D The hardest part is trying to attain virgin stock these days, a lot has changed since I was a wee laddy. :B :'(
  17. Mother Nature provides us with everything we need as read in the great book, if only we took the time to find it. Take heed keep off the fennel tea, if you drink that stuff you'll be anything than relaxed I can assure you! your stairway carpet will be thread bare and your slippers a smouldering mess. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  18. A fancier, who wishes to remain nameless told reporters he wished he had not sent himself as the race turned out to be a washout!

  20. Methio Forte by Herbots is also a very good product especially for the Dikky Darkness youngsters, replenishes new silky thick feathers used by many top professional flyers in the Midlands. Another good tip is to get a good body moult of your darkness youngsters is to add Buttermilk to the drinkers whilst on your darkness regime, can be obtained at relatively cheap costs from your local supermarkets. Buttermilk is used by the Top Belgian Flyers, try it for yourself you'll be amazed at the results.

Never tell the Doc whats wrong with you, thats what he's paid for and as for admitting YOU have thrush, DON'T it goes down on your record the details of which are made available in the public domain what are the grand kids going to think of you? No a much better idea is to send the wife in, he will believe she has got it, Why is that? well you'll have to hang around the car park and have it out with him mate?
  22. Once hadda stock hen of kirkpatrick breeding she laid as regular as clockwork, I remember one year she laid on 1st day of january it snowed heavily, the she laid again on the 1st february it snowed heavily that day as well, on 1st march she laid again and yes it snowed and again on the 1st april it snowed there too, however on 1st May she laid again and we had sleet falling come 1st June the snow did not fall and we had a glorius day , I entered my loft only to find my Hadda hen dead on her nest egg bound! Sometimes the weather can be too kind................food for thought? R.I.P. My Hadda.
  23. G10's are good, there is no doubt about it and yes some fanciers put their sucess down to using them in the rearing of their stock. I used them before and for rearing I found 4 parts corn to 1 part G10 pellets are about the correct ratio. Please remember that most of these pelleted feedstuffs have salt added for taste use them too liberally and you'll find your youngsters screaming out for water so take heed not to make the same mistake. Good Luck and just watch those youngsters grow on them you will be well suited with your youngsters. Many roads lead to rome, "what does for one does not do for another"
  24. Well done Strapper, it makes sense to make these good people known to us all, there as many different mixtures, many different brands at prices to meet every pocket but the main criteria is the corn must be clean, dry and smells as sweet as honey for those of us who are not experienced enough in this field you can always guage the quality of what you feed to your birds by the droppings on the perches next morning. There is a lot of sense in helping each other with information such as this whilst most of us are gripped in this credit crunch. I appreciate your goodwill gesture Paul.
