hard start at over 90 mls for the lads down in chryston and surrounding clubs, sore in what is usually an unforgiving april, bit too far starting youngsters also. :-/ :-/ :-/

both our young and oldbirds start at 107 miles and we had great returns, we only lost 2 youngbirds and we were out at nearly 190 miles to the coast in the last youngbird race

TAMY  you no its a totaly difrent ballgame into the west of scotland they where only 5 members completed the prog last year and whe have one if not the biggest clubs in the fed and when you consider whe have three nat races at 322mls 388mls and 445mls i dont think they will be much moor this seson the young bird where going ok till they hut 150mls then boom i started with 45 and fineshed with 20 wich is not bad considering others this year was the first year out of 5 that i did not have the darkes and it will be the last if your going to compet in this young bird prog youl need them or your wasting your tim after the third youg bird race

Hi Bill

Good chance as Coatbridge has the best fed flyer in the UK with the Mac's, but in general the results will be based around which way the wind is blowing.

cheers

Your right Tam, finishing the programme should be everyones goal. I like to compete at every race , fed and national and have done so for a few years now. There are never many in the west section that complete this but we achieved it again this year m8, roll on 2010 ;) May I add to this, it is alot easier completing the Lanarkshire fed programme than it is the Midland, they have some major scary races.

i do agree with you dell about the lanarkshire looking after ther birds better than a lot of other feds but if wee can stik with the nationls for the next coupl of years wee will all have better doos with them having to brake early and think for themself insted of them holding together and splitting up when entiring lanarkshire in small groups jush hop one day we will get a young bird program that tacks in the youngbird nat aswell ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

why do we not all join the Nat,   and go as Pilgrims with the  lanarkshire,  for cheap bird age, and  good prize money  at the  furthest in land race  and don't start  to race  till 150 mile send a few  not to Manny  say 8  don't want to  give the lanarkshire to much  in case they make   a profit  as with the section  pools don't pull there either  in case wee mac takes it  ;)

So how many new racepoints are there.

Will I get a refund on my SHU fees due to the Lanarkshire sprint lofts forking out for all these new measurements.

In Scotland we pay for measurements---not free like RPRA.

Novice you are correct and i think this something that should be changed at SHU level, computers using their databases can talk to each other and new measurements can can be sent within minutes this is providing feds are up to date with modern technology.

cheers
