One of my best ever pigeons was a Vandy, bred from birds purchased from John Crowder back in 1984. I wish I still had a shed full like them. Outstanding pigeons. I don't know if he still has them :-/

ive never heard any one  have a bad word to say about them i used to have them even when i knew nothing about doo,s i won with them great family

no  bob  john has none of the old vandys  and i thought may be the guys from the N E England or Derbrshire  areas might have still had some  as these where there strongholds

they where class  won from first race to last any vel  great family  what a pity they look as if they gone   the van der espts  where based on the vandys

Bernard Bemowskis your man for the vandies hes had them for ever and not added owt to them stunning looking birds and great over water

he flew years ago as f albrighton and son  (that was his grandad) always flown a good pigeon , hes a big big mate of mine

i think dr rigg from parbold raced the vandies but i could be wrong, george gorley from cockermouth had some good ones to

 

Dr Rigg had Gits and Barkers ,George Gorley had some of the best in his time.

seecombe bros who flew in the UNC and lived in blyth had the vandies,i used to stay in the same hotel as him a few years back in blackpool but he was an elderly gent then don't know if would still be living

my rennes winner in 1996 was a vandevelde and had 3 channel diplomas was retired from racing at 3yrs old

George Gorley went into Buessearts. Was two that dominated the Fed here abouts with Buessearts. Think George when up North timed the 1st 18 in the Fed.... they may well have been Vandies, as though I met the man a couple of time never spoke about pigeons unfortunaely, as he was always surrounded by folks asking....
