Guest Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 See you on the sunday brian, :B good luck.
Shortcut Lofts Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 I cant agree more George.... Its a RACING pigeon show with 6 racing classes :-/ :-/ The men behind the show obvisouly catering for the show man before the racing man eh!!!! Got the entry form through the post and have to say dissapointed. 6 racing classes...no good at all. I was going to bring birds over but not now. When we go to Dublin there is 16 classes and 10 of which are racing classes, that is a show!

Yes Eamon its not exactly going to draw in the Racing man to travel for it. Its Dissapointing
Shortcut Lofts Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Even if the 18 classes were split, 50% racing classes and 50% Show classes it would be worth travelling to. have to get some show birds lol
chickadee Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Is there going to be any stalls selling supplies/pigeons etc Brian like it used to be mate? Alan I heard form the ones that are involved in running it there are a few stalls like Body and Ridewood going :-/
chickadee Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Pity no 500 mile or channel classes. :-/ Why not contact them and see if they could add extra classes, worth a try at least :-/

I'd have it same as racing birds and any age TW and the 2 classes left could have went to 400/500 mile flown? Also has to be a first time they have no eyesign class too
Taylorsloft Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Never been will go this year the wife can do her Xmas shoping

Its back on so we'll support it but people's voices need to be heard and after all its a Racing Pigeon show but poor classes. The show racer birds have took over. It should have had at least 400/500 mile pigeons to cater for the national men as we all know it takes an entirely different type bird to fly 500 mile+ than just 200mile. They should have catered for this then it would have been perfect. I dont have any flown 500 mile birds so makes no diffrence to me but I think they have just let it down by not offering the class

Its being organised by show people who know from experience that a lot don't support the racer/flown classes and there is no point holding a class for a dozen birds!
eastcoaster Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 YIP i`ll be there both days . :)
