REDROCKET Posted March 25, 2022 Report Posted March 25, 2022 I'm working at one of the Nuclear power stations just now since January the falcons have been on their normal platform and I just noticed this morning that a pair of seagulls are now commandeering that platform the guys here are telling me the seagulls stole the young from the nest last year and looks like they have done the same this year the peregrines are gone as far as I can see. Question is do any of you think this could happen.
blue lad Posted March 25, 2022 Report Posted March 25, 2022 They are hungry most of the time . Up here kids from high school have chip suppers at dinner time and through most of the chips at them . However in holidays no chips . They will eat anything going . Young black birds starlings I've seen them take away . Wouldn't surprise me in least. Hungry gulls will swallow a whole fish a baby falcon would just be starter for them.

lanarkshire lad Posted March 30, 2022 Report Posted March 30, 2022 Peregrines are usually hatching in lanarkshire area around early May.
Delboy Posted April 1, 2022 Report Posted April 1, 2022 Been hit by Percy at the loft the last couple days. Never seen one as low attacking birds 10-15 feet off the ground. Birds everywhere, in bushes, trees, under garden furniture etc. Devastating stuff but I’m sure it will leave soon.
