Going to start my first round off next week

They don’t seem to have roamed as good as other years only 20 mins but seem

to fly around home more apart from one day when they went for 2 hours

I know a fair few that are already at 25 miles with youngsters

4 weeks before the first race is enough for me as when I start I like to go often

What’s everyone else doing

Mine have had 4x5mls and 2x10mls tosses, taking it easy with them and will not be racing them just plenty of training to 30mls.I'm virtually starting again after giving my old birds away and just keeping some younger pigeons that didn't race as youngsters but raced to the coast this year and made the Fed. sheet.

I’ve had 3 tosses with the young birds, 2 tosses north and 1 south. Looks like it might be back to the north, cos I can’t see channel racing much in the future, but live in hope I’ll race them both routes

I can’t see it opening up either mate

Will you get your old pigeons back or concentrate on the Thurso Lerwick type races be loads of options with the bicc going north more and talk of the new organisation flying north

I will concentrate on the combines and the sections in the classics if it’s the way it goes mate. But I’ll be also getting some sprinters of a good friend to race too who had my best breeders

i will maybe try a 5 miler end of next week Colin ??

well i did wait . after seeing how Evan got hit on his first trainer last night ,,, was a little wary . sent just 8 babies , and 2 older hens to steady them up. 1 youngster came straight home and in , the others flew around for 5 minutes including the hens . all in and home from a 5 miler . next one on Friday from 10 miles, and a few more of them .
