Should Wind speed Be Taken Into Consideration When Deciding To Delay A Race?

Some say no it shouldn't be taken into account - but when it's predicted between 42 & 47mph North - would you send if basketing was to go ahead? (Young birds)

Even for North Road birds - the youngsters can't be in control under those conditions, I wouldn't want to be out in it myself!

Nobody in theirs right mind would sent bird in a 42 to 47 mph wind young birds or old birds.

Well there we go Jim. Many idiots - out of their'minds - were, and are very good and successful Pigeon fanciers.

Of course it should . 100% , old birds and and young birds . Not just to race but even when letting them out to fly round loft .

You know, at day's end we are the ones deciding whether we send or not. Yes of course we want to go. To race, and many adages are spouted for a reason why.

However after on Thursday, then before Basketing , look again at the weatherv outside, and the forecats. Go and look in the mirror and decide whether too or not. Or just a couple of old expeirenced ones to go. J.M.O.

But then averages etc. are wieghed up eh!
