I find it hard in this day a bird can go for £5 any bird should start at £20 surley and if no one can bid that it's a joke in my opinion

True. But I feel every loft now has so- called 'Stars' bred from birds with wonderful pedigrees. Sadly by far a lot of culls, breeding more and more culls every season. A. they say to combat losses from...

B. have better bred culls in my loft.

Sadly - I believe- them worst culprits for this is 'Names' having loft fulls of 'No so Goods' breeding. Then sold to the fanciers, wishing to improve his stock with bits of papers. they in turn breed cull to cull and incense breeds.

So if a local fancier has a decent season, or even seasons, they can't excape the lull of the so called 'Name'.

Unfortunately it was a bereavement sale so birds have to go no matter what price ,

The birds were in the moult and some looked better than others , I bought a son off his 1st sect Eastbourne he looks to have potential but a bit of a mess with the moult just now but worth a gamble .

Having lost a true gentleman of the sport

I'm sure the family have had enough to deal with regarding disposal of their pigeons

I personally feel the post should be locked and not turned into an unnecessary debate
