swilcox Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 We have some 100 birds that have been left in the Dutch Open, They completed the full program of Flying but finished outside the first 200 and have not been claimed by there owners. These do not have padigrees so i will offer them at £25 each or £20 each if you order 3 pairs (i.e £120). These birds are bred from some of the best fanciers in Holland and you have the option of contacting the owner for detials. Pairs will be selected by Raymond and approved by me prior to being sent out. There are some real beuties and colours so if your looking for something new at a credit crunch rate what do you have to lose, they have all flown 4 races including the 350KM final race. I will do my utmost to only send my normal high quality. Stuart Wilcox 07715 166066
Guest Paulo Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 What was the overall birdage for the dutch open Stuart? Good price for them
Guest Paulo Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 Also could the birds be transferred over? For example I could do with two cocks but would like to try and break them to race
OLDYELLOW Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 Probably some good distance birds in there
swilcox Posted November 25, 2008 Author Report Posted November 25, 2008 You will have ring cards so yes they can be transfered. Some 650 birds made it to the last race. There are some nice looking brids probaly 80% are Janssen, Koopman, Van Loon types and 20% Dutch tranditional distance. Stuart
Novice Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 Can you select what would be potentially long distance on the basis of type?
swilcox Posted November 25, 2008 Author Report Posted November 25, 2008 I think i probaly have the ability to select those that would stay on the wing and Raymond defo can, besides Raymond will know some of the owners and the ruff origin of the birds but i suppose it will be a bit pot luck but should be able to manage it.
swilcox Posted November 25, 2008 Author Report Posted November 25, 2008 We have deliveries every Tuesday and Friday so as soon as the cheques have clear they will be sent out. Stuart
shotgun tim Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 il have the light cheq in the second section next to the blue
ChrisMaidment08 Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 i prefer the red if there is one???
ChrisMaidment08 Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 odd way to sell birds stuart no pics or even in this country
little sam Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 STUART, BIT OFFTOPIC MATE, BUT IS THAT STRAW ON THE FLOOR MATE ??
mark Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 odd way to sell birds stuart no pics or even in this country why is it a odd way to sell.? you buy £99 for 6 off louella. i personally think they are a good buy off a decent bloke.
REDCHEQHEN Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 Also could the birds be transferred over? For example I could do with two cocks but would like to try and break them to race NEHU rules - you need vaccination certificate from country of origin as well as ring card or you can't race them - these have to be sent together to the NEHU office and stamped by them
superstar Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 What are the carriage costs please Stuart as I have a friend round who would be interested in 3 pairs if not too expensive? Only wants cheqs and blues of the afore mentioned Janssen types though.
Roland Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 about £45, I'd reckon... but may be able to barter as one Couriers states.
swilcox Posted November 26, 2008 Author Report Posted November 26, 2008 They will come with a Vaccination Certificate if required. Carriage will be from Bristol so that starts at £30 i think for a single bird and goes up. Chris i have tried to keep the cost down on these so they will be sent over as required plus im a racing loft and dont have the room to keep 100's. This way is the easiest for me.
pjc Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 looks like a great opportunity to try new blood remembering these have raced and have been bred to compete in the one-loft race as oposed to the £99 for 6 generations removed from Llouella! Phil
ACE LOFTS Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 i think they are ideal for someone starting up, the way i look at it if your entering a one loft race you would be putting your best in that u can breed, they cant all be sh1t i bet. value for money i guess

So you will get them brought to this country free of charge then. Sounds like a good deal to me. Flyin Couriers charge £25 for 1 - 4 pigeons then £2.50 per additional bird so £30 for all 6 to be delivered. I will let him know later on today
