  2. All you will be doing is feeding hawks and there is no need for the birds to be out in the winter.
  3. No problem A P
  4. Whitenight I spent an hour reading a lot of your posted (up to page 9) to see if I could find out a bit more about you . What I found out from reading your post is that you know enough about this sport to write a book. Your helpful give the right advice and I have no doubts now you are a great pigeon fancier with great pigeons whatever your name is. :) :)
  5. So then can you tell me the name you raced under. PS I have only ever raced the Mike Ganus System.
  6. I have yet to hear of anyone having to get other kinds of birds out of their garden from budgies and chickens to birds of prey it seems this law is only enforced on pigeon fanciers. Are pigeons fanciers the only ones not allowed to keep their pets in the garden?
  7. whitenight can i ask what name you race under.

  16. Call him back and tell him you will bring it to a vet to have it dispose off and you will get the vet to send him the bill.
  17. They will need trained in the year of birth, young birds bred very late will be on the darkness system because the days will be short. when fanciers breed at Xmas time and put the young on the dark the young birds are about 7 months old going to the first race. Some fanciers are now breeding a late round 7 months before the first old bird race Sep /Oct and the late breds are going to the first old birds race having gone through the body molt but still have full wing. If trained well they are every bit as fast as the old birds. PS stop them after 5 or 6 races.
  18. You should do ok with east wind
  19. would go out the back of loft at top and not the roof then point pipe down so it is water tight
  20. If he lets them out and they go into another fancier and the other fancier reports the bird who has to pay to have it picked up?
  21. Why would there be a need to time a bird twice?
  22. John I know about the pigeonchat one loft race I was 3rd in that race and as far as I know im the only man that got paid and that was only because I had someone call to his house for the money. I am not saying this guy is not owed £150 form john boyd I am saying that it is bull sh** to say no one was paid out by John last year.
  23. I think there was over £25K paid out last year and this is the first person I have heard saying that they did not get paid out. Saying no one was paid out last year is rubbish. Most of the names that were in the race last year are back this year do you think they would be back if thay had not been paid?
  24. There was some more posted today with no name you should have them by Thurs. 3 sets on string and 3 single.
  25. I use ets at floor level into corridor at the first section they then walk up the corridor to their own section. This way the young birds will use same trap when old birds.
