not an easy question to answer john as when I saw it in 3 or 4 birds I immediately flock treated so don't know how many would of gone down with it

this year is the 1st year ive had ybs , after the 2nd y/b race it appeared and this is the 1st year in over 13 years ive not treated for paratyphus

duz work some say it works and others say its useless but you get that with all remedies

if your in a location that the wind catches I would put down some spikes at the corners and screw your loft to them don't want it to blow over and lose your stockbirds

holdovers alan I'm supposed to give 1 weeks notice unless an emergency and my gaffers know I race doos and when the big races are on so it would be obvious why I was off

in this current climate with jobs dodgy at the best of times its not worth taking off the odd day for a doo race and risking my job ets lets some folk send to these races who would otherwise not be able to my dad helped out clocking when he was here but hes gone now doos are a hobby and for fun work is to feed my family ( no contest )

had this conversation before some folk work and cant phone in times I sometimes have to leave a trap open and my clock running I find out when I get home from work if ive a bird or not , could be 6 or 7 hours after it clocks and no ive nobody who would be willing to sit at my loft from 06.00 all day during a week day while myself and my wife are at work in the hope something turned up and cant take a day off work at the drop of a hat

some folk are not interested in other times and don't go on the internet to see how the race is unfolding their fun is going to the clock station not knowing if they have won or are last and that by me is fine
